While the needs for individual opportunities vary, we typically require a four-year degree in a related discipline. Relevant experience gained through an internship or co-op position is preferred. The right candidate must be able to function effectively in both a team and individual environment. Persistence and attention to detail are key to success in this field. We require the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines. We require all candidates to be proficient in Microsoft Office; depending upon the career path, experience with specialized software may also be needed to complete assigned tasks.


Our accountants enjoy a challenging, stimulating and rewarding career path.  Our team engages in a wide variety of accounting activities including general accounting, manufacturing (cost) accounting, internal audit, tax, and payroll duties. Our accounting team is exposed to all facets of our business.  Accordingly, they learn how the business works while gaining a true understanding of what drives business and profits.  It is no surprise that many of Crown's leaders began their careers as accountants.

The cornerstone of all successful companies is a dedicated group of professionals who manage its finances and plan for its financial future. At Crown, our finance team is one of the best and brightest in the industry. They possess a broad understanding of finance and think "outside of the box" in search of advantages that will benefit the Company.

Our finance team engages in a wide variety of activities in the treasury, Corporate Finance and credit areas.

  • Corporate Finance – Responsibilities of our Corporate Finance group includes determining financial needs, analyzing capital budgeting projects, budget planning, implementing financial plans, interfacing with credit agencies and analysis of possible acquisition targets and asset sales. Team members often specialize in specific areas including revenue, planning, capital budgeting and project finance.
  • Treasury – Employees on our Treasury team are responsible for financial planning, cash management and the acquisition and disposition of funds.
  • Credit – The Credit team's main responsibilities involve granting credit to customers and collecting on receivables. The group works within established policies and guidelines.

Sales & Marketing

We work closely with our customers to develop their ideal packaging solutions; packaging that stands out on the supermarket shelf and increases consumer convenience. Consequently, we look to our sales and marketing teams to continue developing relationships and trust with our customers.  Our employees strive towards excellence and a common goal: Total customer satisfaction, 100% of the time.

Each operating division at Crown has its own team of sales and marketing professionals who specialize in a specific area of packaging.  For those starting as an entry-level member of the team, you can expect a thorough orientation program that will provide exposure to the packaging business.  Key aspects of the program will include an education in the manufacturing process through plant visits, exposure to the latest innovations in packaging at our Research & Development center and business meetings with key customers. If you have the desire, the program will provide the tools you need to succeed.

Information Services

Developing and managing the systems that connect more than 21,300 employees at 147 sites in 40 countries is no easy task.  It requires a cohesive group of professionals dedicated to meeting the technology needs of the organization. It is a duty that Crown's I.S. Team executes flawlessly.  They are passionate about their work and committed to continuous improvement.  They are dedicated to excellence in Information Technology and keeping Crown connected!

Information Services professionals at Crown work with the latest technologies. Whether they are dedicated to applications, infrastructure or systems administration, the group applies their knowledge of technology to support internal clients and business partners. 

Research & Development

Crown is constantly investing in the latest engineering technology and equipment, including comprehensive computer aided software, state-of-the-art machinery and performance modeling processes. More importantly, we recruit and train the best scientific and engineering talent available. Our two technology centers in Chicago, Illinois and Wantage, England, boast state-of-the-art research and testing labs, as well as pilot plant facilities. They contribute to our highly focused response to customer and business needs, in addition to setting manufacturing and product standards for the company and the world. In order to maintain this focus, we are constantly looking for individuals who can help us accomplish this task and at the same time help develop their career path.

RD&E supports all of Crown's product divisions with exposure to the entire manufacturing operation from beginning to end.
